| JKNPP protests against 'irregularities' in CAPD Deptt | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Jan 7: To highlight the alleged negligence, irregularities and irresponsible attitude in making the proper ration distribution and keeping the genuine BPL card holders away from their allotted ration quota, a large number of registered consumers of Panchayat Kiran and surrounded areas under the banner of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) held a protest demonstration against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park at Kathua here today. While leading the protest demonstration the district president JKNPP of district Kathua Ravinder Pathania alleged that Department has turned into a corruption hub. He said that on one hand people are facing the problem of shortage of ration on depots while on the other state government is not opting for bifurcation of ration cards. While expressing their resentment against the CAPD department, the people charged the department officials including AD Food, TSO and even the dealer for pasting the APL status on the BPL ration cards with an objective to sideline the innocent and poor families from the advantages of BPL quota.
They demanded a high level inquiry into the misplacing of BPL ration quota which is not being distributed among the BPL families. |
