KATHUA, Jan 7: To celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, a colorful religious procession decorated with different activities like sword show, singing of kirtan and etcs taken out by the Sikh community around the town at Kathua here today.
On the occasion, MLC Subash Gupta and MLA Charanjeet Singh were felicitated by Sikh Community. In the procession senior citizens from Hindu, Christian and Muslim community also took part with great enthusiasm.
While speaking on the occasion, the president of Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Kathua Charanjit Singh Pola said that Guru Gobind Singh was a great warrior, poet and a philosopher who strived for building a society based on equality, brotherhood and respect for all religions. |
