Et Report Rajouri, Jan 20: Doctors in Darhal medical block serving under NRHM have threatened to resign and come to roads as the government has failed to release their salaries and incentives for the last more than four months. Some of the doctors serving under NRHM included Dr L Choudhry , Dr S Jubeen, Dr Ashrtaf , Dr F Jubin and Dr Rahila Choudhry have alleged that they have not received their incentives for the last more than 16 months while their salaries are pending for the last over 4 months. "We are staying in private accommodations and working 24 hours in a day and in the wake of non-payment of dues it is becoming difficult for us to sustain," lamented Dr Rahila. Dr Rahila further added that the doctors posted at Primary Health Centre Thanamandi were getting incentives for few months but she is posted at Shahdra Shrief in the same location about 10 kilometers from Thanamndi and has not received any incentive since her posting in 2012.Dr Yash Pal Sharma, Director NRHM showed his ignorance in this matter and said that he will inquire from the concerned Chief Medical Officer (CMO). However, he added that the department has already provided the funds to the concerned officials and why the salaries were not released he will inquire the matter. When contacted Dr Naresh Sharma Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Rajouri said that Dr Mehmood , BMO Darhal was recently transferred to other place and charge of the BMO , Darhal was handed over to Dr Iqbal Malik recently."This could be the reason behind the delay in the release of the salaries" said CMO.He also added that in some cases it might have delayed due to maintenance of proper record and the matter will be investigated. |
