A case FIR against the Congress President, four revenue officials and other prime accused for fraudulent mutation of land coming under alignment of Kishtwar-Sinthan-Srinagar National Highway located in Poochal village of the District has been registered. Parihar has denied all the allegations levelled against him in Vigilance FIR NO. 03/2014 u/s 5(1) (d) r/w Sec 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 & sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC. The fresh demand of removal of Singh came from Nagsini unit of the District, who demanded that the District President Congress Kishtwar Pardeep Singh considered loyal to JKPCC President Saif-ud-Din Soz to be shown the exit. In as press statement issued by Congress party leader Seri Chand of Nagseni considered close to Azad group of Congress, after getting entangled in Vigilance net for his alleged role in land grabbing case, it is time for the party to expel and remove the District President with immediate effect to restore the faith of party workers. Seri Chand who chaired the meeting of the Congress workers of Nagsini in his statement has appealed UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, AICC vice president Rahul Ganhdi, party general secretary and In-Charge J&K, Ambica Soni, state president JKPCC Saif-ud-Din Soz, former Chief Minister and Union Health Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, to remove party District President Kishtwar from the post till proven innocent. Other leaders present in the meeting included Sewa Dal Block president Nagseni, Subash Chand, Raj Kumar,Chowdhary Abdullah, Des Raj, Buddi Singh, and Ferioz Chand. Earlier veteran Congress leader Abdul Subhan Kichloo, Thakur Jughal Bhandari, Mohinder Singh Parihar, Ravi Kumar and several other Congress leaders from Kishtwar also demanded for immediate removal of Singh as District President Congress Kishtwar. It is pertinent to mention that VOJ registered FIR against Abdul Qayoom, Om Dutt, Mohammad Iqbal Kichloo and Abdul Aziz Trak all revenue officials and the beneficiaries namely Pardeep Singh (District Congress President Kishtwar) and others. The FIR was registered on the basis of verification conducted into the allegations that the land measuring 60 kanals and 16 marlas, falling under Khasra number 2772/583 min, which was shown in Revenue records since 1971 as Government land not inhabited by anyone, has been fraudulently mutated by these Revenue officials in the name of Pardeep Singh and others on monetary considerations. It was alleged that said land was coming within the alignment of the Kishtwar- Chatroo-Sinthan Road and involved huge amount of the compensation which prompted the above action by the Revenue authorities who acted with malafide intentions to confer undue benefit upon Pardeep Singh and others in lieu of huge monetary benefits. The verification conducted by the VOJ further revealed that the said land was "Shamlat Deh" and the proprietary land owners of the village had proportionate share in the same but the said Revenue officials by abusing their official position made fraudulent entries in Revenue record exclusively in their favour in respect of the portion of land falling under Khasra Number 2772/583 of village Poochal which was coming under alignment of Kishtwar-Sinthan Road and same was done by initially changing the status of land from "Gair Mumkin Jarh" to "Gorah" in the year 2003 and subsequently attesting mutations of the said land in favour of the beneficiaries in the year 2010 by showing their possession over the same since the year 1971. Interestingly, the possession of Kuljeet Kumar and Pardeep Singh has been shown since 1971 whereas their dates of birth as per the records have been found as 02.02.1977 and 05.04.1964 respectively. Here it needs to mention that Congress President Pardeep Singh Parihar has already got interim bail from the court while the other alleged accused including revenue officials too have applied in the High Court for the bail. |
