Et Report Jammu, Jan 20: Senior leader People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Coordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary said that unrest amongst government employees of various departments is an indication that incumbent government has failed to deliver which is why most of them are either protesting on roads or planning sit in at district headquarters. As per press release, Choudhary Hamid said this is strange that a government which is quarrelling with its own tools is expecting to deliver ably. The employees, he said had been demanding their regularisation, arrears besides removal of pay anomalies but no one ever cared to listen to them. During the past five years, the government had severally used brute force against employees to suppress them but never listened to their just and genuine demands. Unrest amongst employees is the end result of these oppressive measures. The PDP leader said that an answerable government must be installed here in Jammu and Kashmir State failing which the system will continue to rot further. Former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, he added had given Jammu and Kashmir State a viable alternative and time has come to bank upon same substitute if an order is to be brought back into the system of governance. Be it recruitment, promotions, release of arrears or any other issues pertaining to employees, PDP regime had done complete justice with them. |
