| Couple held for selling liquor in Katra, 358 pouches of illicit liquor recovered | | | Jammu, Jan 20: Katra police today arrested a couple and recovered around 358 pouches of illicit liquor from their residence. Police identified the arrested couple as Sunny son of Hem Raj and his wife Babbi Devi of ward no. 10 Katra.
Sources said that on specific information that the couple is involve in selling of liquor in holy town of Katra which is prohibited, police raided house of Sunny and recovered over 358 pouches of illicit liquor from his residence.
Police arrested both Sunny and his wife and seized the pouches of illicit liquor. A case in this connection has been registered relevant sections of Excise Act and further investigation if the couple is on. |
