| Nagri residents protest against shabby road to crematorium | | | Kathua: Irked over pathetic condition of link road to cremation ground dozens of people living in Municipal Committee Nagri, staged protest against the district administration here, on other day. Led by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) District General Secretary, Anil Singh Andotra protesters raising slogans against the administration as well the state government staged protest against the concerned authorities for turning blind eye towards problems of common masses.
Addressing the protesters, Anil said that the present government has failed to resolve the problems of the public. Expressing the concern regarding protest he alleged that the people residing in the seven wards of the committee are facing a problem due to depleted condition of road. Lamenting the Municipal Committee and Flood Control Department he said that despite repeated request the departments are befooling people by making false assurances. The protesters urged district administration to construct the over foot way and maintain the link road to the cremation ground. |
