| Govt accords sanction to constitution of 'Review Committee' | | Suspension cases of IPS, IFS | | Arun Singh Jammu, Jan 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today accorded sanction for the constitution of a three members Review Committee to review the suspension cases of All India Services Officers pending against them for last many years. As per order Government Order No. 2-GAD (Vig) of 2014, Government has also asked the concerned departments to submit their agenda note with full details of the case for consideration of the committee so that the cases could be reviewed by the committee on the suspension cases of IPS and IFS officers under sub rule 8(c) of Rule 3 of the All India Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1969. The Committee which has been constituted comprises of Chief Secretary as its Chairman, Principal Secretary to Government Planning and Development Department a members and Secretary to Government, GAD as Member Secretary. It has been further informed that in the event of a case concerning to an IPS officer, Home Secretary/Director General (Police) will be co-opted as members while in a case concerning a member of the IFS the Secretary Forest/Principal Chief Conservator of Forest will be co-opted as members. The committee shall discharge the functions and follow the procedures for review of the cases placed before it as laid down in the All India Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1969. |
