Poonch, Jan 22: Lambasting State Government for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma today challenged ruling National Conference to come out with a single achievement during the last five years.
He said except being indulged into deceit tactics for its survival, this regime has done nothing worth praising during a vast tenure of five years.
Addressing public meetings Jhallas and Jadibabana areas of Poonch-Haveli Assembly segment, Yash Pal Sharma, MLC said that during its five year tenure this regime has nothing to show because miseries of the people have increased manifold after formation of National Conference led regime in the State.
"Ground situation in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri is an indicator of the mis-governance and lopsided policies of the present regime", he said and pointed out that this belt has been neglected in all spheres of life.
"Important sectors like Health, Education, Power, Water etc have been completely collapsed due to wrong policies of the present regime", he said and added that road networks appears only on papers but on ground hundreds of villages and hamlets are still unconnected with road networks.
"Except pursuing its divisive politics, National Conference has done nothing to mitigate miseries of the inhabitants of Poonch and Rajouri", he said. He said that leaders of National Conference have been befooling the people by making false promises. He supported demand of the people that fresh survey should be conducted to incorporate genuine and deserving people in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list. Ch Lal Hussain, Imtayaz Banday, Shah Mohammad Tantray, Shamim Dar, Haji Taj Khan, Gurmeet Singh Raja, Choudhary Javed Ahmed, Naresh Sharma, Bashir Khaki, Amar Singh Josh, Basant Ram Sharma, Daya Singh, Sajjad Chouhan, Abdul Rashid, Shalinder Kumar, Balraj Sharma, Haji Bagh Hussain, Dayal Singh, Paras Ram Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion. In two meetings some prominent political activits also joined PDP. Prominent among those who joined PDP included Farooq Farid, Asif Iqbal, Saba Hussain, Maroof Fazal and Daya Singh. |
