Jammu, Jan 22 : Demanding revocation of transfer order of Principal, the agitation launched by PG students of MAM college against Education Minister Akbar Lone today entered 5th day. According to press release, the students of college boycotted their classes and gathered at the main gate of college and staged protest. Different members of student union like PDSU, ABVP, NCSU, NSUI and others continued their agitation against the transfer of Principal and appointment of new Principal Anita Sudan. Addressing to the media persons Lucky Singh (student union president) alleged that the government has so far kept mum on the issue.
"The government shows its discriminatory attitude towards the future of students of Jammu by transferring the honest principals and appointing the corrupt ones like Anita Sudan", he said, adding that they would raise their demand in front of Governor. The students further alleged that the new principal of college was threatening and pressurizing the students leaders and has filed fake FIRs against them. They further added that corrupt principals like Nodal officer Nuttan Rustra Principal GGM Science College and Hemala Aggarwal Principal GCW Parade are in the vigilance inquiry but honest principals were either attached or transferred from their colleges.
They warned that if their demands would not be fulfilled soon, serious results of the agitation would be seen. Vikas Sharma (President ABVP), Sunny Parihar, Ranjodh Singh, Aftab Keen, Sandeep Thakur, Nishant, Tony Rajput, Rohit, Ranvijay, Dharna Sharma (girls student union president), Kusum, A.P Singh were present on the occasion. |
