Change imminent in J&K as countdown of NC already started: PDP

Jammu, Jan 22 : Dubbing Omar Abdullah led coalition regime worst ever corruption dispensation the state has witnessed so far, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today predicted that 2014 would be a year of change in Jammu and Kashmir because there is strong wave in favour of PDP all over the state.
Addressing a function to welcome large number of political activists from Ramnagar area of Udhampur district who joined PDP, former Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa said that change in imminent in J&K and days of National Conference are numbered. "Countdown of ruling NC has started and the year 2014 would usher a new era of growth and development in J&K", Mr Bajwa said and pointed out that the present situation in the state was similarly to that which prevailed in pre-2002.
"Period from 2008 to 2014 would be remembered as dark period in the history of J&K because present regime is the worst ever government people of J&K have experienced so far", he said and observed the tenure of young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah would be remembered as a period of mis-governance, mal-administration and total failure.
"Government appears to be completely collapsed and there is total anarchy in the system", he observed and pointed out, "it appears that we are living in darkage because governance appears only on papers and there is nothing on ground. People are struggling to get basic amenties like ration, drinking waer and power". Welcoming new entrants in the party, Bajwa exhorted them to spread message of party in every nook and corner of the State. "After becoming member of PDP you have to shoulder greater responsibility because PDP is not only a political party but a movement to change destiny of the people of J&K", he said.
Prominent among those who joined PDP included Retd S P Sher Ali, Sarpanch Mukhtyar Ahmad, Sarpanch Raj Kumar, Retd capt Tulsi Das, Master Manvar Din, Romesh Kumar, Panch Shams-u-din Dhaman, Shakeena Devi, Dinesh Khajuria, Jaswant Singh, Rajinder Sharma, Sanjeev Singh, Manmohan Singh, Sara-u-din, Dharam Chand, Mohd Ayaz, Chain Singh, Ajay Samotra, Kavi Raj, Ishtyaq Ahmad, Uttam Singh, Ram Singh, Ravinder Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Shashu Din, Manoj Sharma, Krishan Chand, Ashok Sharma and others Senior leaders of the party Ved Mahajan, Arshad Malik, party candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat, Ashok Jogi, Capt Anil Gour, Rajender Manhas, Ajit Singh Sarpanch and others were also present.
