| 70 yrs old dies, two others injured in road mishaps | | |

Jammu, Jan 22: A septuagenarian was crushed to death by an unidentified truck while two others received injuries in separate road mishaps at different places on Wednesday in Jammu. Police sources said that aged persons while walking along the road side was crushed to death by an unidentified truck at village Kotli falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station. "The deceased has been identified as Deep Raj (70) son of Des Raj of Rattian, police said. Police sources said the aged persons injured was shifted to nearby hospital where he was declared as brought dead. After that the body was shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for autopsy. A police case in this connection stands registered and further investigation is on. Meanwhile two persons received injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off from the road near Nagrota this morning. The injured identified as Ghulam Mohi Din (50) son of Ghulam Ahmed and Nusrat Jaan (21) wife of Shokat Hussain Shiekh both residents of Anantnag were shifted to GMC&H for treatment while a case stands registered in this regard. |
