| Mathematical quiz competition organized | | |

Jammu, Jan 22: An Inter collegiate mathematical quiz competition among the students of various Government Degree colleges of Jammu region was organized by the department of Mathematics of GGM Science college, Jammu. According to press release, GCW Parade got first position while GDC RS Pura and GCW Gandhinagar got second and third position respectively. Dr. J.L Sharma and Dr. Narinder Sharma of Department of Mathematics were the jury members for this programme.
Principal Dr. NK Resutra was chief guest while Dr. Ashok Bhagat was the guest of honour.
Dr. Ashok Bhagat impressed upon the students to do mathematics for the sake of mathematics and choose it as a carrier.
The main objective of this competition was to bring students in a common platform and to prepare them for the forth coming competitions such as JUET, CDS, Banking. A total of nine teams participated from different colleges of the Jammu region with two students in each team. |
