Jammu, Feb 28: Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sang (ABSMS) held a felicitation function for its working president, Dev Anand Gill, who has been nominated as a member of the National Monitoring Committee for the notified Minorities (NMCM).
Addressing the members of Union, Gill said that due to the support of the union and social workers, he has been able get into NMCM and make every effort that would benefit the minorities particularly schedule castes and schedule tribes in Jammu and Kashmir.
He also thanked the Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and Union Minister for Minority Affairs K. Rahman Khan form nominating him for the term of three years in reputed committee.
72 members have been nominated ads NMCM members across the country out of which two are Jammu and Kashmir.
The other member nominated for NMCM is retired IAS officer Mohd Shafi Pandit.
