| Class XII paper leak: Govt assures probe, action | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 28: Incident of leak of class XII question paper of the J&K School Board today rocked the State Legislative Assembly, prompting the Government to assure a probe to bring the guilty to the book. The issue was raised by the JSM MLA from Bishnah Ashwani Sharma, who making a reference to the infamous BOPEE paper leak scam rued that this was becoming a routine and the government was not doing enough. "This is a shame" Ashwani said making a reference to the failure of Education Department in ensuring fair examination system. Following reports of paper leak, the class XII exam scheduled for Friday were postponed by the JKBOSE. Reacting to the issue raised by the member, Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone expressed anguish at the incident and assured to bring the guilty to the book following a probe. "I assure this House that I shall ask the Chief Secretary to conduct a thorough probe in the incident and bring the guilty to the book" the Minister said. |
