Jammu, Feb 28 : Members of the National Panthers Party today staged a walkout from the State Legislative Assembly alleging pick and choose and political considerations in opening of new health centers in the state.Harsh Dev Singh, who was denied opportunity to ask a supplementary by the Chair arguing specificity of the question to a particular constituency, got up and protested against what he called as complete failure of the health services in the state.
"The health system has completely collapsed in the state" shouted Harsh Dev regretting that not a single health centre was opened in his constituency in the last five years. Harsh Dev was joined by the other NPP MLAs, who shouted slogans against the health department. "You claim to have won first position in health services in the country, but you have managed a forged certificate.. it is a fraud" Harsh Dev said, alleging discrimination with his constituency. NPP MLAs then staged a walk out from the House. |
