Jammu, Feb 28 :Various Hindu Organizations of State today warned Government against excluding of any Shrine from the Kashmiri Hindu Shrine and Religious places Bill. The Warning was issued at a Press Conference jointly addressed by leaders of All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC), Mata Tripur Sundari Kapal Mochan Trust Shopian, Kheer Bhawaani Tikkar, Kranti Dal, Shiv Sena and Dharmarth Trust Surksha Samiti. They urged the Government to take immediate steps in passage of Shrines and Temples Bill which is lying in State Assembly for last five years. These Organizations, while making a dig at Government which has given a signal of excluding some temples and Shrines from the Bill on the persistent demand of their management committees, said that this will not be acceptable to them. APMCC, Chief Vinod Pandit said that Government can't give leverage to some trusts or Ashrams while constituting a Shrine Board for protection and management of Shrines in Valley. He said his organization has been fighting for years together for constitution of Shrine Board to protect the Hindu Shrines of valley from hands of land mafia who have already sold and grabbed hundreds of lands of Hindu Shrines in valley. Supporting him Kranti Dal leader Preetam Sharma said that they fully endorse the views of Pandita and will support any movement launched by him in case even a single shrine was excluded from the Bill. He while justifying the demand said Hindu Shrines are in deplorable condition in Valley while hundreds kanals of prime land of many shrines has either been grabbed or sold by land mafia in league with the management of these shrines which is cause of concern for entire community. He termed the arguments of some Trusts that their Shrines be excluded from the Bill as totally baseless and urged the Government not to concede any demand of these societies. Vikas Dewan of Shiv Sena appealed all the legislators irrespective of their party politics to support the bill during voting and defeat the designs of those elements who want to sabotage the Bill. Meanwhile Pandit Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust has also expressed the hope that Law Minister will keep his word by including all Hindu Shrines in the Bill. The Trust spokesman in a statement today said that Community has pinned high hopes in the Government and this time it will not be betrayed as the passage of the Bill has become overdue now. The Spokesman said that the Community is hopeful that Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister will keep his promise regarding the passage of Bill in current session.
