| Now or never situation for BJP in JK | | Should take advantage of Modi’s Campaign | | Sandeep Bhat Jammu, Mar 27: The State Unit of Bharitya Janta Party should act as one unit in the coming Lok Sabha elections if they want to win both the seats of Jammu province. The internal differences and fight will prove costilier for the BJP unit of state.Though their star campaigner and prime ministerial candidate Narindra Modi campaigned for two seats in the state, there is every chance of losing both the seats from Jammu province. The reasons are many but more important are that the state leaders are not in the good books of the people. Dr. Jitendra Singh is weak against the Congress stalwart Ghulam Nabi Azad,Minister of Health in union government and former Chief minister of state who during his tenure did lot of development works not only in Jammu province but across the state and people from all sections of society have faith and confidence in him and is clear winner from Udhampur Doda Kathua parliamentary constituency. DR Jitendra could have given tough fight to the earlier Congress candidate Choudary Lal Singh who is not acceptable now to the masses but with the change of candidature of Congress candidate from Udhampur- Doda Kathua constituency the equation has changed in favour of strong Congress candidate. Though PDP has also fielded their candidate but Congress is far ahead to the BJP and PDP candidates. Although Modi campaigned for Dr.Jitendra Singh from Hiranagar ,it all depends on state BJP leadership to convert the Modi wave into votes. Same is the case with BJP candidate from Jammu -Poonch parliamentary constituency where state BJP president Jugal kishore Sharma is pitched against his nearest rival of Congress Madan Lal Sharma and PDP nominee Yashpal Sharma who gave tough fight to congress party last time. He has to work hard and has to cash the advantage of Modi campaign, then and only then he will be able to deliver the things.BJP candidates are wholly solely dependent on Modi campaign in Jammu province otherwise it is the end road for BJP in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to Early Times,Ashok Khajuria, former president and legislator said that BJP will win both the seats and Modi's campaign has helped the candidates a lot. "BJP Is united on all issues and ruled out any internal difference with any leader," he added. |
