| 'Atal's vision of Insaniyat, Jamhooriyat, Kashmiriyat way forward' | | Abdullahs blind to change! | | Early Times Report Hiranagar (Kathua), Mar 26: Making an effort to strike emotional chord with Kashmir, BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee today said that he would carry forward Atal Bihari Vajpayee's vision of development based on Insaniyat, Jamhooriyat and Kashmiriyat. Stating that winds of change was sweeping through the country, BJP Prime Ministerial candidate said: "I am proud to begin the BJP poll campaign from a land where people have laid down their lives for the country." Appealing to voters in Jammu, Modi said he intends to solve ever-lasting Kashmir imbroglio, not exactly in these many words. "We will fulfil unfinished work of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. We have to liberate J&K and India from dynastic rule," said Modi. Referring to decades-old bloodshed in Valley, Modi said, "Cross-border terror has not killed people alone, terrorists did not only kill people, they attacked humanity and culture of Kashmir. I salute people of J&K." Taking on the Abdullahs, Modi said that family of Abdullah's are blind to the signs of change taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. "If Abdullahs were present in this rally, they would have realized which way the wind is blowing in the state. I am proud to commence the BJP poll campaign from a land where people have laid down their lives for the country. I have first bowed my forehead at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and I am now bowing my head before the people of Jammu and Kashmir," Modi told the rally at Hiranagar in Jammu. He said the 'sweeping winds of change were already visible' in Jammu and Kashmir. "Whether it is Jammu, Kashmir or Ladakh, the wind has turned. This time, the lotus will bloom here," he said. Promising development and job opportunities to strife-torn state, Modi said, "Without development our problems will not be solved, youth need employment," said Modi while adding that it has now been 30 to 32 years since this land has been painted red with blood by terrorists. "We want brotherhood and India's unity and for that I have to sweat for 18 hours a day to try and wipe out tears from the eyes of the poorest of the poor," said Modi. |
