| Development poll plank of Congress: Madan | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 26 : Madan Lal Sharma Congress - National Conference coalition candidate from Jammu Poonch constituency while addressing a series of public meetings at Grota, Bhalwal, Gour, W.NO.58 Janipur, Bathandi said that development is the only poll plank of the Congress and people must judge the scenario on ground. He said that during the last 10 years massive development in all vital sectors has taken place and change is visible which has been acknowledged by the people themselves. He said that Coalition Government in the State has taken some landmark decisions like introducing of Public Service Guarantee Act, RTI Act, Creating Independent Vigilance Commission, Conducting Panchayat Elections, Empowering PRIs in line with Central Government and creating large number of Administrative units. Sharma said that during his two tenures as MP , he has tried his best to do justice with every section of the Society in his Parliamentary Constituency which is spread right from Samba to Poonch. He said though the MP has specific role and meager funds at his disposal, yet he used his good offices and ensured substantial development in all essential sectors. He appealed the people to vote for him and press the button on EVMs on 10th April 2014 .Highlighting the achievements of UPA Government at the Centre MP said that Central leadership has always soft corner for the State of Jammu and Kashmir and helped it substantially to undertake infrastructural development and other welfare schemes for improving the socio-economic status of people. He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi paid a number of visits to the State to personally mitigate the problems of the people and ensured free flow of funds to accomplish the major projects initiated in the State. He said that Congress is the only party which can provide justice to all sections of the society. He cautioned the people against the hollow slogan mongers and communal forces, which make the politics of dividing the communities. |
