| ABVP continues protest against JU VC | | Hostel fee hike | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 26: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parished (ABVP) continued protest demonstration in University of Jammu against hostel fee hike. ABVP activists today boycotted all the departments and then took out rally and closed the main gate and started raising slogans against Vice- Chancellor and JU administration. They alleged that although JU has agreed to consider it a genuine demand yet it is not willing to resolve the issue. ABVP activists reached the Business School where Vice-Chancellor was addressing but they were stopped by some members of administration and security personnel. Subsequently Vice-Chancellor left the department from back gate then the students approached him in his chamber but his response was so casual that he cannot do anything. While enquiring ABVP demanded the recommendation of old committee on fee hike and the procedure of the constitution of the committee and who were the so called leaders who decided the fate of the students community. ABVP demanded the roll back from the hike in hostel fee upto 200%. |
