| Of Indian 'friends' and enemies | | | Er. Rajesh Pathak
There is a section of the people living in the country who are Indians by name, by color and by complexion but when it comes to causing harm to it they spare neither a chance nor an effort in leaving behind even its enemies. Flourishing on the salt of the country and being called 'intellectuals', as also 'seculars', they have for their resorts the so many foreign-funded NGOs, human right organizations, the media -houses, and now the political parties like Aap; from where they blithely operate. They have already earned much name before by backing naxalism, opposing nuclear programme of the country and by taking the side of Jehadists on the issue of Kasmir in return of luxuries of monetary benefits, foreign trips and such other things offered by so many organizations operating from foreign soils to run anti-India campaign. And now some persons among these Indian 'friends' have made a documentary, 'Ocean of tears', in which the image of Indian army is intended to have been badly slurred. That how 36 women of a village Kuna Pospara of Kupwara district have been sexually offended by the soldiers this is shown in the 27 minute documentary. Whereas the truth of the matter is that because of the roll played by Indian army in running welfare scheme in the village, local people found in it their true well-wisher and give their cooperation to soldiers wherever needed. The documentary came to news last days when the efforts of showing it in the VIBGYOR International film festival organized in Thrissur of Kerala was opposed by the local people led by RSS workers. Question is that why did Congress led state government fail to take notice of so crucial an issue concerned with India's image in general and Indian army in particular that all the preparation had been made to show the documentary in the festival, that's too when it[documentary] has been found to be fake in so many reports? Now would in such issues too the government keep waiting in the hope that should the people come on the street then only it would act upon its roll? |
