| Ex-IGP, Journo join BJP | | | Early Times Report HIRANAGAR, Mar 26: A former IPS officer and a Kashmiri scribe were among the three people who joined the BJP during launch of "Bharat Vijay Rally" of BJP s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi here today. Modi, while addressing a gathering at Hiranagar, welcomed the former IGP Farooq Khan who has been in the forefront of anti-militancy operations in the state and Kashmiri scribe Khalid Jahangir, into the party fold. Today the former IG of J&K, Farooq Khan has joined BJP. Khalid Jahangir, (a Kashmiri Journalist) an expert on writings on conflict areas, has also joined to BJP. He has carved out in each in the field of journalism. Besides welcoming the new faces in party folds, Modi launched "Bharat Vijay Rallies" from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir saying, "I bow to my head before the people of Jammu and Kashmir after paying obeisance at Mata Vaishnodevi." |
