| Army organises medical, dental, veterinary camps at Leh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: Trishul Division of Fire and Fury Corps organized Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp at Hemis village near Karu in Leh District on 30 April 2014. The camp was organized at free of cost in an effort by the Indian Army to reach out to the sick and needy people of the hilly terrain which is in an extremely difficult area of Eastern Ladakh Region. A total of 45 persons were treated for dental illness and as many as 72 persons were examined and treated. The dental treatment included the medical procedures like restoration in filing of Cavities, Tooth Extraction, Scaling and Oral Hygiene advice to patients. A total of 94 livestock of the villagers were also examined and treated. The act of kindness by the Division has endeared it to the locals of the area and further strengthened the bond between the Civilians and the Indian Army in the region. The locals expressed their appreciation for the initiative taken by the Indian Army to improve their problems and urged the Army to hold more such medical camps in the future. |
