| Legal Aid, Literacy camp held at Bishnah | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 1: Dogra Law College today organized "Legal Aid and Legal Literacy Camp" in collaboration with the N.S.S. unit of the college at Govt. High School, Chak Jaralan, Tehsil Bishnah which was later followed by the Survey of the Village Chak Jaralan. As many as 48 students of Dogra Law College participated in the camp and interacted with the students of Govt. High School Chak Jaralan in order to make them aware of different Statutory Acts like "Prevention of Corruption Act", "Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act", "Prevention of Food Adulteration Act" and "Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act". The students of the school studying in various classes also participated in the discussion. Sarpanch of the Village Chak Jaralan, Jatinder Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion who in his address appreciated the initiative of Dogra Law College in organizing a Legal Aid & Legal Literacy Camp in this village and extended his blessings and good wishes to the students and advised them to conduct their survey of the village sincerely and with commitment. Nidhi Bhargava, Lecturer in Law Dogra Law College & Convener Legal Aid and Legal Counselling Cell in her welcome address highlighted the main objective of the Legal Aid Camp which is to provide legal awareness / Legal Literacy to the fellows of the society who are incapable to opt this knowledge through any other means. |
