| 3 killed, 8 injured as Tata Sumo rolls down | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, May 1: Three persons including an infant were killed while eight others sustained injuries when a Tata Sumo in which they were travelling in rolled down into deep gorge at Near Nallah Ghorian Tehsil Ramnagar of District Udhampur. The deceased have been identified namely as Sunita Devi (27) w/o Vijay Kumar of Nalla Ghorian, Poli Devi (30) w/o Sher Singh of Appar Barmin and his son Arjun (2yrs). According to police sources, a Sumo bearing regd no: JK02U-4861 while on its way from Ghordi to Nallah Ghorian at met with an accident when driver of vehicle lost the control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge resulting into three deaths and injuries to eight others. On receiving information, the Police teams rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured persons to Ghordi Hospital from where doctors referred injured persons District hospital Udhampur. The injured persons identified as Romesh Singh (35) son of Sumit Singh of Barmin, Jeet Singh (39) son of Dharm Singh of Nalla Ghorian, Vijay Kumar (30) son of Mohan Lal of Nalla Ghorian, Rakh Devi (20) wife of Mohan Lal of Barmin, Mohan Singh (25) son of Sunil Singh of Barmin, Sher Singh (35) son of Jamil Singh of Appar Barmin, Vijay (34) son of Chatu of Nalla Ghorian, and Jasbant Singh (25) son of Jakir Singh of Barmin Appar. Meanwhile three critically injured namely Romesh Singh (35) s/o Sumit Singh of Barmin, Mohan Singh (25) s/o Sunil Singh of Barmin, Sher Singh (35) s/o Jamil Singh of Appar Barmin have been referred to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. Ghordi Police registered the case and further investigation is on. |
