JMC removes khokas from Jammu city

Jammu, May 2: The Joint Commissioner (Adm), Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kapil Sharma, KAS along with Chief Enforcement Officers and other field staff of Enforcement Wing on the directions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kiran Wattal conducted an extensive anti-encroachment drive vigorously , demolished and removed the Khokas at Hari Market, Ranbir Market & Janipur causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic.
During the drive 7 truckloads of material were seized.
The drive has been conducted with the help of police force from City Police Station, I/C Police Post Hari Market and from Distt Police Line.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again has appealed to the general public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions/Khokas otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition will be taken.
