| HC issues bailable warrants against DC Poonch | | Petition seeking relief for rehabilitation | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 2 : Jammu and Kashmir High Court Friday issued a bailable warrant against Deputy Commissioner Poonch in a Petition filed by Ghulam Din & Others of Village Kerni who were forcibly shifted by the district administration and Indian Army in the year 2001 because of war like situation ensued between India & Pakistan. submitted that undaer the Govt Rehabilitation Scheme each family was held entitled Rs 1 lacs per family and one plot of land measuring Seven Marlas. Justice Tashi Rabstan of State High Court after hearing the petition observed that vide order dated March 24, 2014 Deputy Commissioner Poonch granted four weeks time for filling reply as well as for production of the records. In default without any excuse, Deputy Commissioner Poonch to remain personally present. Court further observed that as per noting of Registry, reply had not been filed neither counsel nor Deputy Commissioner Poonch present in person which shows that Deputy Commissioner Poonch is taking very casual approach of the orders passed by the Court and issued bailable warrants against Deputy Commissioner Poonch to the tune of Rs 10,000 and warrants sent to SSP Poonch for execution. |
