| JYF demands removal of Central University Sr Consultant | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 2: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today staged a protest demonstration in the front of CUJ Campus to express dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Central University.
Led by Vikram Kumar President JYF, activists were raising slogans against the Chancellor for not taking note of their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the whole affair.
Addressing protestors, President JYF said that all the clerical staff working there is appointed on directions of PS Pathania, without any advertisement. "While educated youths hoped that CUJ would benefit them on account of providing jobs, but maximum of outsiders and retired officials are being rehabilitated by VC", he said, and while citing an example, JYF president said that VC had appointed PS Pathania as Sr Consultant to VC. Reiterating his demand for early removal of Pathania CUJ, Kumar said, "There are many cases of corruption pending against Dr.Pathania in University of Jammu. He committed several frauds in JU misusing his official positions. He further said Pathania had been involved in decision making process and there is every possibility that he may resort to corrupt practices.
Among those who were present in the protest included, Javed Iqbal, Sunil Palvi Verma, Avtar Singh Sanjay Singh, Shoal, Ashif Amhed, Amit Sharma, and others.. |
