| 2 Cops injured 3 structures damaged in fire | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 2 : Two police personnel received burn injuries while three structures were partially damaged in different fire incidents, last late evening on Thursday.
According to a police reports, fire broke out in the General Mess of 'F' coy of IRP-8th BN at old residence of SDM Sopore near Police Station Sopore resulting in partial damage to the Mess (kitchen). Constable Showkat Ahmad and cook Tawseef Ahmad received minor burn injuries.
"Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH), Sopore for treatment where from they were shifted to Srinagar for further treatment. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders, police said. Meanwhile fire reportedly broke out in the embroidery factory of Farooq Ahmad Gurkhoo s/o Noor Mohammad resident of Umer Colony- B at Baghi Ali Mardan Khan, falling under Police Station Lal Bazar, Srinagar resulting in the damage to cloths in the factory.
"Fire was brought under control by Fire Tenders and Police. Fire broke out at SIDCO Rangreth in the Factory (Metal Industry) of Khalid Muzaffar Dar s/o Ghulam Mohammad of Maisuma Srinagar resulting in partial damage to the factory, police said. Police said, "Fire was brought under control with the help of locals." |
