2 die, 6 injured in road mishaps/accidents

Srinagar, May 2 : Two persons including a tipper driver died while six persons were injured in different road mishaps/accidents across the valley reported in last 24 hrs.
According to a police statement issued to here, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05D/1520 collided with a Scooty (JK05C/2282) at Singhpora, Pattan, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, Baramulla. Both the riders Mohammad Ashraf Lone and Ghulam Mohammad Gojri residents of Baramulla got injured in this accident.
Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where Ghulam Mohammad Gojri succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard. Meanwhile, a Tata 407 (JK09/0989) hit a 12 year old boy Shahid Manzoor s/o Manzoor Ahmad Khan of Shogpora Magam, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) , Handwara for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard. In another accident, a Sumo (JK03/8882) turned turtle near Jawbara, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora resulting in injuries to three persons Rukhsana of Kader Anantnag, Mohammad Yousuf Dar of Banihal and Mohammad Rafiq Khan of Pahalgam. Among them Mohammad Rafiq Khan was shifted to SKIMS for further treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard. An Ertiga car (JK02AW-9912) skidded off the road at Check Manigam, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Qazigund resulting in injury to the driver Kesar Ahmad Pathan s/o Kabeer of Nai Basti Anantnag. He was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile in another mishap while repairing his tipper (JK15/1029), the driver Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat s/o Mohammad Maqbool of SK Bala got critically injured near Bazipora Ajad, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sumbal.
He was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard.
