| Lawyers agitation in Kathua to be intensified | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 3 : In order to intensify the ongoing agitations of the advoctes of Jammu province agaisnt the police officer for causing unncessary harrasement of an Advocate of Jammu few days back, the BAR Association of Kathua has come forward in support of agitation and blocked the National Highway at kalibari, Kathua here today. The blocking was held for fifteen minutes and halted the traffic movement which is being resumed after lifting the protest dharna from the National Highway. The kathua BAR Association demanded the suspension of the police officer who harrassed and misbehaved an advocate and made the mockery of law and legal strength of the state. While speking on the occasion, the seniormsot spokespersons of the Kathua BAR Association Advocate Arvind Gupta and Advocate Dushant Jandyal crticized the police officer of Jammu for torturing the Jammu based advocate unnecessary and the action of police officer will neveer be tolrated by the BAR Association at any cost and urged the state govrenment to put the officer in suspension immidiately and do the justice with advocate. |
