Natrang's weekend club explores Children abilities

Jammu, May 13: Children have been exploring their inner abilities in Children weekend theatre being organized by Natrang.
According to press release, first of its own kind in India, a brainchild of Padamshree Balwant Thakur, the club has been conceived to give children between age of 7 to 15 a platform where they explore their immense inner abilities.
Works of Saturdays and Sundays, this unique club of the country offers variety of exposure ranging from story making, music creation, rhythmic moves, theatre games, acting, role playing, play making and above all sharing of the creative ideas and thoughts.
Balwant Thakur is being assisted by Sumeet Sharma and Aarushi Thakur in addition to Neeraj Kant. Sumeet Sharma is a post graduate in Dramatics with specialization in acting and direction has also been awarded National Award for Direction in theatre. Aarushi Thakur a product of prestigious ST. Stephens College, Delhi University, after post graduating from University of Leister has done a specialized course in theatre from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. Neeraj Kant- a veteran theatre artist who has an experience of 20 years of working with children.
The workshop is being coordinated by Mohd Yaseen who is a National Scholarship holder in theatre from Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Through this club, Natrang intends to create a space for children where they get an opportunity to groom themselves as distinctive personalities. Theatre offers them to shun stage fright, and their communication skills are sharpened through various latest developed techniques. This new encouraging environment infuses in the them lot of self confidence and they acquire eyes and years to see, understand and interpret the world with their own thinking and reasoning.
Lucky thirty children who have first been given the opportunity to explore themselves in this artistic experimentation includes Ojusvini Kotwal, Shambhavi Gupta, Agam Kaur, Jasmeh Kour, Riya Jandial, Swaranjali Sambyal, Vandita Sharma, Satvika Gandotra, Asma Gul, Shreya Gupta, Saba Jamwal, Navya Jain, Sanchita Dubey, Aarushi Gupta, Medha Gupta, Anirudh Bhatia, Laith August Sharma, Hamaad Salif, Vidit, Harayansh Gupta, Samaya, Anika Gupta, Sanyam Gupta, Chander Pratap Singh Bhau, Chirag Anand, Shambhavi Sharma, Divyan Sharma, Yajur Mahajan, Sahil, Anandita, Mihir Gujral, Manya Gujral and Gopi Sharma.
