Family, kin protest, block road over 'mysterious death of Youth'

Jammu, May 13: A large number of people including family members staged protest demonstration at Gandhi Nagar locality while putting the body of deceased on road to register their resentment over death of a youth under mysterious circumstances. The protestors blocked the road paralyzing vehicular movement for hours together.
As per reports the protest erupted after body of youth identified namely as Narinder Singh of Gandhi Nagar -a driver by profession, was found strangulated to death under mysterious circumstances from Rehari near Dogra Hall.
The family members, friends and locals came to road and held protest to register their resentment against the mysterious death of youth and after putting the body on road near Bata Show Room in Gandhinagar locality falling under Gandhinagar Police Station they staged strong protest.
Protestors were demanding arrest of the accused who are involved in the heinous crime. The protest continued for hours paralyzing the usual traffic on the road meanwhile Minister for Horticulture Raman Bhalla and other senior police officials reached to the spot and made hectic efforts to pacify the protesting people. The parents of the deceased later handed over a list of the suspects to police when police tried to pacify them and demanded action against the suspects to get lead in this case.
After getting assurances from the senior police officers for early arrest of the accused the protestors lifted their protest.
A senior police officer when contacted said that parents of the deceased have given a list of the suspects and investigation in this connection has taken up.
Pertinently body of the youth namely Narinder Singh of Gandhi Nagar ,a driver by profession, was found strangulated under mysterious circumstances in Reahri area. Soon after the information the police team rushed to spot and after taking custody of body, the police team shifted body to Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. After getting autopsy conducted upon the body the police handed over the body to the family members for the last rites.
Pertinent to mention here that a couple of days ago, a similar protest was held in Gandhi Nagar area following the mysterious death of a bride who succumbed to her severe burn injuries. And to pacify the protestors police lodged FIR against three including her husband and her in laws.
