Early Times Report Padder, May 13: In order to keep pace with the modern day technology for improving agricultural output in hilly regions and to address the problems being faced by people besides the issues of developmental activities, a Farmers' awareness cum Public Grievance Camp was organized at Gulabgarh Padder, in district Kishtwar. DDC Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan accompanied by DIG Doda Kishtwar range Ashkoor Wani, and S.P. Sanjay Kotwal inaugurated the camp. At the outset an interactive session for farmers was held with the panel of experts comprising of chief agricultural officer R K Hitaishi, chief horticultural officer R C Putto, officers from Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Sericulture. After that a general public grievance redressal meeting was chaired by DDC Kishtwar Mohd javed Khan. Various district officers from PHE, PDD, R&B, GREF, Health, Education, CA&PD etc were present in the camp. The sarpaches, panches of various panchayats and other common people highlighted their various problems and issues before the administration. Most of their demands were related to the provision of road connectivity, security, up gradation of schools, better medical facilities, roads under PMGSY, construction of lanes dungas and drains, facilities regarding veterinary services, drinking water and better staff position in the schools. The DDC, DIG and S.P Kishtwar addressed the people and assured them all possible help in meeting their genuine demands. They appealed to the people to live in harmony and maintain the feeling of brotherhood in the region. The DDC gave on the spot directions to the officers present there to take swift action in meeting the developmental targets in this remote and hilly region. |
