| Kashmiriyat incomplete without "Kashmiri Pandits": IPP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 13 : Asserting that every possible effort from his party for rehabilitating and stabilising the displaced Kashmiri pundits, Indian Peoples Party (IPP) President Aqib Shah today said that Kashmir and Kashmiriyat can't be perceived without Kashmiri Pandits. In press statement issued today, Shah said that Kashmiri tradition and ethos are a blend of both Kashmiri Muslims and Hindus. He said that IPP would intensify the claim of a safe return to home-land for Kashmiri pandits. Shah stated that KPs have been a victim of divisive and communal politics and the wounds inflicted upon this community have deepened enough for a new revolution which is surely on the cards in the shape of IPP. Shah announced that IPP's manifesto will include reservation policy for Kashmiri pandits in government jobs and reserved seats in state legislative assembly. Shah said that there is a desperate need for reservation of KPs in the state legislative assembly as majority of the problems faced by this community have always been over-looked and the elected representatives have largely mis-represented the cause. Shah assured every possible effort from his party's side for rehabilitating and stabilising the displaced kashmiri pandits through out the state. He also appealed the Kashmiri Pandit masses to shun alienation and join hands with I.P.P for coming up into the main stream of leadership. |
