| Another land scam involving revenue officials surfaces | | SVO books Tehsildar, Ors | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1 : State Vigilance Organization registered a case in land scam against Janak Singh then Tehsildar Samba, Tarsem Lal then Naib-Tehsildar Samba, Rashpal Singh then Girdawar Samba, Som Nath then Patwari Samba and Ors u/s 5(1) (d), 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006 r/w section 420/467/468/471 and 120-B RPC. According to the FIR a verification was conducted into the complaint lodged by one Joginder Singh s/o Roop Chand r/o Pantilla Tehsil & District Samba wherein he has alleged that legal heirs of the Prithvi Singh and one Jagdish Singh in connivance with Janak Singh then Tehsildar Samba, Tarsem Lal then Naib-Tehsildar Samba, Rashpal Singh then Girdawar Samba, Som Nath then Patwari Samba city have fraudulently sold land measuring 1 Kanal falling under Khasra No 29 situated at Mandi Kotli Samba whereas the said land was already decreed by the Court of Sub-Judge Samba. The verification conducted revealed that father of the complainant purchased one kanal of land from Prithvi Singh situated at Mandi Kotli Samba through an agreement to sell executed on April 7, 1976. The verification further revealed that above-said revenue official in league with one Jagdish Singh and in pursuance of a criminal conspiracy hatched between them fraudulently and prepared and attested a Fard Intikhab and Dasti Khaka of land which was under ownership and possession of complainant in the name of jagdish Singh who then sold 18 marlas of land from to one Rajinder Kumar and the same land was mutated in the name of purchaser. After completion of verification, State Vigilance Organization registered a case u/s 5(1) (d), 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006 r/w section 420/467/468/471 and 120-B RPC against Janak Singh then Tehsildar Samba, Tarsem Lal then Naib-Tehsildar Samba, Rashpal Singh then Girdawar Samba, Som Nath then Patwari Samba and Ors.(JNF) |
