Jammu, June 1: Jammu and Kashmir Progressive Youth Forum (JKPYF) Nagrota today requested all political parties to field locals to contest the upcoming assembly elections from their respective area.Forum representative Naveen Kumar Sharma, addressing media men here declared that voters of Nagrota assembly segment have decided that they would support only local candidates and oppose the parties who would field persons from outside the constituency.
"We urge all the political parties including Congress, BSP, PDP, BJP, NC, JKNPP, SP, NCP and others to give ticket to only local candidates in the upcoming assembly elections because only a local candidate can understand the problems of the people of the constituency", Sharma said and added that non local candidates are seen in the constituency only during election time. |
