| Medical employees protest against non-fulfillment of demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 26: A protest demonstration was held in the premises of Directorate of Health Services Jammu under the Chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, President Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation.A large number of employees from different blocks of Jammu District besides employees of Directorate complex participated. The protesting employees demanded regularization of Adhoc/Contractual and consolidated employees, whose cases are still pending approval adding that the services rendered by Adhoc/Contractual/Consolidated who have already been regularized from time to time be also taken into account as they have served in the department on adhoc/contractual/consolidated basis for 10-20 years during odd hours and militancy period and are now at the verge of retirement. They alleged that pay anomaly of Ministerial staff/Drivers have not been removed despite repeated requests submitted to the Government. The Government has already removed pay anomalies of Accounts Personnel/Patwaris/Live Stock Assistants etc but fate of Ministerial staff/Drivers has been kept in the back burner. Further, the Ministerial Staff also be given two and half days pay as per Govt Order No. 274-HME of 1992 as they are performing duties on Sundays and Gazetted Holidays. The protesters also demanded release of pending salaries of FMPHWs, who are still without salary for last 10 to 12 months besides they demanded enhancement of FTA of Basic Health staff from Rs 45 to Rs 1000. |
