| Who is ‘qadardaan’ of the corrupt? | | |

srinagar, June 28: National Conference has said that the three year chaotic rule of Mufti Sayeed as the Chief Minister of the State was the most corrupt tenure of a Government in the State's history. Without advocating Mufti Sayeed's cause here, it needs to be mentioned that the state got the dubious distinction of being the second most corrupt state in India in Omar's rule.
The NC leader Mustafa Kamaal said Mufti was qadardaan of corrupt bureaucrats. However, Kamaal forgot the CET scam and the BOPEE chairman, Mushtatq Peer who was given extension after extension by the NC led coalition Government.
Here an attempt is not being made to defend a particular person. However, the facts and data available force one to raise the finger of suspicion on NC. The JKCA scam, Haji Yusuf killing is only the tip of the iceberg.
Kamaal must know that rampant corruption was one of the reasons of failure of coalition partners in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections. |
