| NC sells Sher-e-Kashmir at Thanamandi | | | Early Times Report thanamandi, June 28: After tasting defeat in the Parliamentary elections, National Conference has been forced to talk about Sher-e-Kashmir excessively. During the three public meetings in Jammu region addressed by Devender Rana and the Planning Minister Ajay Sadhotra, more stress has been laid on the achievements of Sher-e-Kashmir than Dr Farooq or Omar Abdullah. It conveys that the NC has nothing to sell to the people. Pidram Sultaan Boud (My father was great) is a Persian adage and it fits beautifully to the NC of today. But the Ranas and Sadhotras must know that selling Sher-e-Kashmir may win a few votes in some parts of Jammu region but in the Valley, it will backfire. Nobody is ready to talk about Sher-e-Kashmir in contemporary Kashmir and the NC leadership knows it fully well. Once again at Thanamandi, Rana and Sadhotra talked about PSGA, RTI and the Panchayat elections. They also mocked at BJP little knowing that the BJP is on mission 44+ and may accomplish it as well. |
