| Amarnath pilgrims allege lack of basic facilities | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 28: Alleging lack of basic facilities like provision of drinking water, a large number of Sri Amarnath Yatris today flayed the state government for failing to provide adequate basic infrastructure and facilities to visitors during the annual amaranth yatra at Lakhanpur. A group of yatris were seen fumed over the scarcity of drinking water and lack of public convenience facilities at Lakhanpur Gate way of J&K here today. Making a scathing attack at state government, they said the government has failed to provide the basic facilities drinking water and etc further compounding the problems for the yatris at the gateway of J&K Lakhanpur. Pilgrims namely Anita Garg, Manish Kumar and Rahul Garg hailing from Uttar Pradesh alleged when they reached Lakhanpur in district Kathua they failed to get drinking water and there was no arrangement seen for public convenience especially for the women visitors.
