Kathua, June 28: In support of their demand of construction of new railway station behind the Ramleela Ground near Boliyan, a meeting was organized by the Nav Kathua Railway Nirmaan Samiti (NKRNS) in ward no. 2 at Kathua today. Addressing the meeting, spokesperson of the Samiti Sanjeev Verma, Varinder Sharma and Rajinder Pacifist said the project along with demand charter is already being submitted to the new union Government and asked general public to join this movement of ever biggest project that will be turning point in the history of development of District Kathua. Verma told that entire Adar area including, Jarai, Khatkara, Changran, Nagri, Kokhyal, Jakhbar, and many other and the far-off areas of district Kathua like Billawar, Bani and Basohali will also be benefitted because of coming in direct contact with the station. As per the project, maximum land falling is of state so no big burden of compensations will be on the part of government treasury even the bridge over Ravi river can be utilized as multipurpose to link the disconnected areas of Kiria, Gandyal and Ramnagar. |
