| Dental surgeons fast unto death enters 3rd day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: Dental Surgeons Associations Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) continued their fast unto death for the 3rd consecutive day today and dharna for the 7th consecutive day at Amphalla chowk Jammu and press enclave, Srinagar where hundreds of unemployed dental surgeons gathered and shouted slogans against the ill attitude of Govt. towards the grievances of skilled unemployed youth of the state. As not even a single representative from the concerned authority or the Govt. has come to listen their grievances, president Dr. Asif Iqbal Chowdhary alleged that why this Govt. is not bothering about the demands of DSA-JK and till now no concerns regarding our issues has been put forward to them. President also asked that why Govt. ignored the genuine demands which needs to be addressed in due time span. President also condemned the fact that Govt. always try to take credit for proposing and implementing the big schemes of dental and medical health, but ignores the issues and demands of the intelligentsia which is supposed to be given their due job opportunities to run these health and welfare schemes. He also said that the piling up of unemployment in dental sector in the state is only due to the negligence and failed in framing and executing the proper policy in relation to the dental health in the state. President Dr. Asif Iqbal Chowdhary said that our agitation will not be called off and can take even more serious mood if our demands are not met at the earliest. Their demands include complete absorption of unemployed dental youth, recruitment of dental surgeons on every year basis, establishment of separate directorate for dental health in the state. |
