DDC Kulgam reviews activities of important sectors

Kulgam, July 7: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kulgam, Jahangir Mir took a review of important sectors at Mini Secretariat, Kulgam here today and asked for expediting the development of pace in the district. .
According to official spokesperson, under R&B Sector during the current financial year Rs 11.65 Crore have been proposed for the sector under District Plan and 50 percent of the funds under district have been authorized for execution of the ongoing works which are in full swing.
"Under Health Sector during the current financial year Rs. 167.28 lakh have been proposed for the sector under District Plan. 2.63 lakh OPD, 17627 IPD 731 Major Surgeries; 1978 Minor Surgeries; 88585 Lab tests 19556 X-Rays, 6405 USGs and 1417 institutional deliveries have been conducted, spokesperson added.
Moreover, Rs 18.67 lakhs and Rs 9.03 lakhs have been distributed under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) & Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) respectively during current financial year. Under MGNREGA a Labour Budget of Rs. 47 crores have been proposed for current fiscal. As many as 2999 works have been taken up and 46 have been completed generating 43057 mandays providing employment to 56706 job card holders involving an expenditure of Rs. 97.93 lakhs. Similarly, under IAY 284 spill over units have been taken up and 40 have been physically completed involving an expenditure of Rs. 2.25 lakhs.
The spokesperson also informed that the credit Action Plan for the year 2014-15 approved at Rs. 419 crores for the district is under implementation expecting coverage of 800 cases for unemployed youth. Meanwhile, marketing checking was got conducted and 27 Kgs of polythene seized, 03 quintals of rotten fruit and 25 Kgs of junk food were destroyed and an amount of Rs. 3900/- was recovered as fine. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam also asked all the district officers to accelerate the process for completing the ongoing works for which 50 percent authorization for utilization under District Plan has already been conveyed. At the end of the meeting, District Development Commissioner directed all the officers to ensure that targets for the current financial year are achieved in full besides maintaining quality parameters.
