SRINAGAR, July 7: Around 200 aspirants for the post of fireman staged protest demonstrations against the authorities accusing that they were deliberately dropped from the final selection list.
The candidates while holding protest demonstrations against the fire and emergency department outside its office at Batamaloo- stated that they qualified the examinations with good marks but were finally dropped from the final selection list. They stated that at the end, it was the corruption in the department due to which the deserving candidates were dropped and blue eyed candidates were given space. However, the police later swung into action- canning the protesters at the man road and dispersed them from the scene. The aspirants re-assembled again and managed another protest demonstration. They demanded that the selection list must be probed and a thorough inquiry must be ordered so that the corrupt officials in the department could be brought to the book. However, after repeated attempts, the contact with the fire and emergency services could not fructify. |
