Jammu, July 7: Two youth today drowned in River Tawi after a group of five youth went for picnic at Sidhra area, this evening.
Identities of the drowned youth have been established as Vishal Bhan (22) son of MK Bhan of Lakar Mandi and Rajnesh Bhardwaj (24) son of Jarnail Singh of Durga Nagar Bantalab.
Police sources said that a group of five youth went to Sidhra area for picnic and started bathing in the river Tawi.
"While bathing, Vishal went to deep water and Rajnesh went for his rescue and both drowned in the deep water", said police quoting the other youth.
Police further said that search operation was launched by the police which was on when last reports came in but both the bodies could not be traced. |
