| GDC Rajouri organizes a symposium on Women Empowerment | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri on Tuesday organized a symposium on Women Empowerment under the patronage of Dr. JA Qazi, the Principal.
According to press release, the first prize went to Sushant Shamra of BP-II whereas the second and third positions were bagged by Amir Amin of BP-III and Arushi Khajuria of BP-III respectively. On this occasion the participants and toppers of the essay contest previously held in the college.
While, principal Dr JA Qazi highlighted the place and position of women in modern society. He cited many references from the scriptures and philosophies to inspire girls' folk to realize their innate potential and do miracles in so many domains. The vote of thanks was read out by Prof. Asia Bhat and the proceedings of the programme were concluded by Arushi Khajuria of BP-III.
All the staff and students participated in Prof. Javed Mughal HOD English, Prof. M. R. Sharma HOD Zoology also spoke on the occasion. Prof. Mohammad Farooq Mirza, Prof. Bashir Ahmed and Prof. Raheela Mushtaq were in the Panel of Judges. |
