Pro-Jammu issues remained ignored in Modi's eight rallies in this region | "Just passing reference on discrimination issue to corner Cong" | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: With his election rally at Moulana Azad Stadium, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has winded up election campaign of BJP in this sensitive State. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed nine election rallies-one at Srinagar and eight in Jammu province. BJP has selected eight venues in Jammu region for rallies of Prime Minister because Jammu region is BJP's strong hold and party's chance of getting Plus 44 seats depend largely on Jammu region. Unfortunately, Prime Minister has not touched the issues which are dearer to the people of Jammu region who have repeatedly reposed their faith in ideology of BJP. In his last rally at Jammu today, the Prime Minister has touched the issue of discrimination with Jammu region but he was not as vociferous as he was during his Lalkar Rally at Jammu on December 1,2013. Instead of centralizing his speech on Jammu centric issues, the Prime Minister has made only a passing reference towards discrimination with Jammu. It is believed that those formulating strategies for J&K elections have cautioned against touching issues like Article 370, empowerment of Jammu and Ladakh regions and step motherly treatment meted out to Jammu region by the successive state governments. In his all the eight election rallies, the Prime Minister has not mentioned even a single word to make institutional arrangements to end discrimination with Jammu. Just to attack Congress the Prime Minister has highlighted the issue of discrimination with Jammu but not given any assure to end this discrimination as Prime Minister of the country. |
