The website showing wrong information about Vice Chancellor of the University, whose tenure had completed three years ago. Now remote sensing department is running years back", sources said. They further said that the website also shows Prof Sehgal as DAA and Prof Tiwari as DFS. Interestingly, most of the government departments and organizations have gone offline when it comes to maintenance of websites having the vital information about the government functioning. The websites were launched few years back as part of the e-governance project to provide online data about various government departments and the different development schemes launched in the state. "As soon as one goes to this page, a there appears old and years back information. It's not about remote sensing only but the sites other departments are either not updated or are non-functional", the official said. "It shows that lacs of rupees spent on using the internet connectivity and e-service to make available information for students and other visitors was just wastage of exchequer and has not served the real purpose for which these were created", he added. |
